Project-R is the first production under the SSCCS initiative exploring new approaches to data storage, structure, and access. The project is in its early research phase.
Overview
Project-R is the strategic independent commercial project under the SSCCS initiative. It explores new approaches to data storage, structure, and access for agentic computing environments—spanning hardware-software co-design, new abstractions for persistent state, and interfaces that bridge local and distributed computing.
The project follows an open-core model: the foundational infrastructure remains open, while specific commercial applications and hardware are developed as separate ventures.
Currently in its early research phase, Project-R is advancing core infrastructure, hardware integration, and application design. The technology roadmap spans multiple delivery phases, from software validation to physical product.
